Liquid detergent or Blue chemical down the loo?

Postby limecc » Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:58 pm

I came across a tip to use liquid biological washing machine detergent in place of the usual blue Elsan/Thetford stuff. Has anyone tried it? Apparently this stuff is designed to be extremely kind to seals as there are many of them in your average washtub and is loads cheaper! (Not that I've purchased any lately;-)

Yes I've heard about it, read something about it in a mag but alas not tried it. think the guy in the mag was cutting the tablet in half, placing it in the top tank and it still worked out strong enough to do the job without any ill effects to be seen.
