Roof light problem

Hi All
I have a Heritage 2009, 640EB and the front Remis roof light will not wind up/down properly. Is this something that a mobile mechanic could sort or would it be better off taking it to a dealer workshop? Doing it myself is not an option, nothing ever works again after I have touched it.

Also has anyone ever managed to stop the front locker from leaking, I know that there is a fix involving mastic on here but has anyone done it successfully?

I would have thought a mobile mechanic,preferably MCEA regisrered,would be able to sort the roof light out,might just need lubricating.

Can't help re the front locker I'm afraid.

We had problems with our Remis front roof light which at 600x900 is a big heavy window. it was a Remis I and the gears and winding cables had to be replaced a couple of times.
In the end I had it replaced with a Remis II which is a much better solution. I had it done by Caravan Medic Swindon and it cost £620.

With regard to the front locker leaking I simply replaced the rubber seal which had been crushed over time. I got the seal from Seals Direct - you need 3 metres of profile ETS1668, which is about £6 per metre. They will send samples if you wish.
