Just got back from another weekend at Teversal and I'm posting this to recommend to all. We've been going to the site for 3 years now and always have agreat time. Chris & Jayne do a great job, always making a special effort. The facilities are on a par with 5 star accomodation- under floor heating,en-suite style shower rooms & all hands free appliances. If you like cycling or walking then there are plenty of trails to try. If you fancy atrip have a look on c & cc website for a virtual tour. The site is 10 mins from M1 junc 28 or 29.

5 mins away from our house!
Be sure to post your next visit in the Out & About category, and we'll cycle on over. May even persuade Gaynor to get on the tandem for a change and it would be even easier.
I'm sure you're well familiar with Teversal Grange? A great place to eat.

Never got as far as the Grange with the Carnarvon only a stride away it is just handy. Here's a thought- maybe members who live near to a site could do a recce & report back for other members. We live near to a site in Holmfirth (aka summer wine country) if anyone is interested.

A section for recommended local sites would be a good idea with facility lists and whats on / where to go nightly prices etc. This would allow us to build a good national network of recommended sites and who knows we might see some other Fleetwoods out and about, it might also help our commitee when planning Rallies.  Tim ( aka Flipper )

Brilliant idea. We are desperate to start trying some CL's but they are hard to evaluate beforehand. Currently looking for somewhere on the Isle of Anglesey..

Carnarvon arms was a right dive before it was taken over by that small chain of pubs. Unrecognisable now and mighty fine. Likewise Silverhill Colliery's slag heap was not so inviting a few years ago, but the Country Park is a lovely place to take the dogs and it offers good sledging slopes in winter for us big kids, oops, I mean my daughter Caitlin.

hopefully this may be of interest to Allan and Jackie and something which may be developed, if it could allow recommended sites to automatically go into Area / County sections to make it easier to view sites say in Staffordshire, Lancashire etc. Tim ( aka flipper ).

Walked the dogs around here tonight. There's absolutely no way anyone's leaving or entering this site at the moment. It's been snowing hard all day, maybe 8" in the last 24hrs.

Need to get that new adult sized sledge constructed for the slopes opposite! I got some larger polypropylene gas pipe for the runners which has an amazingly low coefficient of friction and worked really well in the past.

Snowing hard again today, so maybe tonight. The dogs are loving it!
