Just bought a specialised towing protector (one size fits all) from towsure £80 with c&cc discount. Fits ok but a little high up from the a-frame. Will report how it performs when travelling.

First outing with the towing protector and it worked really well. Arrived at the site with no bugs, soot or debris stuck to the frontof the van.

Thought about buying one of these, but on balance too much trouble for me I think.
I fitted mudflaps which do an excellent job of deflecting the stones, and I don't mind giving the front a quick wash if the need ever arose. The van's finish beads spray quickly away though.

Did you check out a price direct from the manufacturer using the club's discount before buying from Towsure?

We have had the following response from Specialised Covers

We can provide your members with our universal towing protector. We can't offer a discount on the product because the margins are extremely tight. However, we are happy to print a white Fleetwood OC logo on each cover at no extra cost.

I need to do something in this area also as the front of the c'van on the lower end is getting chipped or marked I think due to the throwback from the rear tyres even thou' I've fitted rear m/flaps.

So I think I need to be looking at a protector that goes down to the lower skirt and wraps itself below the GRP panel in addition to protecting me from the arduous job of bug removal on the upper end.

How does your front protector address this issue?

The towing protector is a one size fits all but fits snug to the front of the van with no movement when towing. There is just one small area above the A frame with a cut out for more common types of van construction but I have not thought this to be a problem.
