2007 Meridien 560-EK switch

Postby Webmaster » Fri Jul 06, 2012 4:36 pm

Sue asks:

We have recently purchased a second hand caravan and we were taken through all the buttons etc when we picked the caravan up. But there is a button by the TV ariel/electric socket which we cannot see what it does. And we cannot find any reference to it in the manual etc. the button either off or 230 volts but on either setting the TV worked when caravan hooked up to mains. can you help at all?

Ken suggests:

I think this sends mains powers the heating system. I know I puzzled over it a long time but it became clear only after experimentation. Unfortunately I can't remember what the answer was! You'll find out eventually when you want something to work that won't until you flip this switch!

John says:

We find that the thermostat for the warm air heater doesn't work if you fail to turn this switch on. Apart from that, it seems to have no other purpose. I suggest the new owners check the heater with & without and see if it works.

Incidentally, you can also tell them that the Meridien 560-EK is our finest ever caravan - simply brilliant!!!
