Heritage 640 ESD 2009 phono sockets?

Postby farmerboy » Thu Jun 13, 2013 10:55 pm

Hi all, does anyone know what the gold coloured phono sockets are for in the lounge and bedroom of the above van? I was hoping I could feed the tv audio through them to the radio/DVD player but with no joy.

Thanks in advance.

Your radio also has the facility for DVD playback, connect the phono plus audio leads directly to your TV, place the DVD in your radio and enjoy!!

Aha! Clever stuff! I don't suppose it will work the other way around? ie use the radio speakers for my portable tv?

Love the van by the way - it is SO much better than anything else I have seen. I have given it a really good clean and everything is shiny and bright! (really must get out more!)

I noticed that the shower head used a lot of water so I have replaced it with a economiser shower head from ebay (50% less - but still enough to enjoy a shower) along with a pneumatic jockey wheel, a pair of "rock steady" mirrors, Milenco noseweight gauge, Alko hitch lock ........oh and and this for cold nights...... Happy Fathers Day!

Sorry farmer boy had to edit the pics out on the open forums.

Yes you can use the fixed speaker system in the caravan to audio your TV just check out the specific audio manual for the detail. Let me know if you don't have one and I'll see what I can do.

Bumping this old thread - not been here in a while!

There's a standard ISO plug you can buy then you swop the pins from the phono sockets so they become inputs instead of outputs. This means we can get stereo via aux input from the satellite receiver over the van speakers. I think I did a write-up on this forum somewhere with pics.
