Wanted - Satellite Dish - Purchase now complete

I am interested in purchasing a FreeSat type mobile or otherwise Satellite dish suitable for use in a caravan. Could be pole, tripod or roof mounted, manual or automatic with or without signal strength meter.

Hi Allan,

I had an idea where I was able to make up my own mount that is basically two pieces of 4x2" timber put together with a 90deg builders bracket (shelf bracket would do) in an 'L' shape. The Sky minidish is bolted to this and the long end of the 'L' can be trapped under any of the four corner steadies of the van. One of these must always be in the right position!

It's light and small enough to go in virtually any caravan front locker. I'll try and get a picture next time it's set up. Minidishes are easily come by, and even new they are only ?20 something pounds.

Not sure if we need a Satalite dish now as we have recently purchased a digital TV with Freeview and the reception at the locations we?ve been to date has been great with the standard Status aerial.

I guess we?ll need it though when we take the van to Europe.
