Water pump overrun help needed

Postby Seanwj » Tue Oct 20, 2020 2:37 pm

2008 Fleetwood Heritage 640i
Hi everyone.
My water pump keeps running long after taps are closed.
I’ve waited in case it’s returning to pressure but the only way to stop it is to manually turn it off at the switch on the front bench seat.
I’ve consulted the manual re pressure adjustment & I can’t find it anywhere, if indeed there is one.
Any ideas where it’d be or any other causes/solutions?
Thanks!

If it's a Shurflo pump the switch is in the pump head, plenty of helpful videos on you tube.

Thanks for the respect Richard.
I’ve tried to attach a picture to this reply, tried to attach to original post without much luck.

Don't think the forum softwares that advanced unfortunatly. I take it you do have an on board pump? If the pump is over running I think it can be one of two things either you have a leak, which I think you would have noticed! or there is something in the pump preventing the valves closing properly and reaching pressure,it only takes a speck.

Apologies for the last reply. Respect=reply, tut autocorrect.
So I think I solved it.
When drawing water from the onboard, seems I have to switch pump off manually at the panel.
When drawing from the aquaroll, pump switches off when taps close.
Still not ideal as I hope to use the onboard as the weather gets colder.
Thanks again for all of your assistance, it’s greatly appreciated as always.

With it now, still doesn't sound right. If you put 'on board water tank' into the search box there is a thread there that explains how it should work.
