Desperate - Fleetwood 640-I Dometic Fridge problem

Hi all
We upgraded our 600ES to a 640-I yesterday. We saw it all set up and working before purchase. We towed it home using the 2 connector tow rope (grey and black) and once on our drive noticed a loud buzzing noise coming from the consumer unit.
We tried everything to stop the noise but couldn't. We noticed that the control board for the fridge was only partially lighting up (3 way control between battery, mains and gas LED wasn't lit) and the Alde heating control panel was also not lit up.
The only way to stop this very loud noise was to disconnect the electric and the battery and at the moment the caravan is totally unusable
Furious googling found that there is a fault with the Dometic RM7651L PCB which can overload on 12V as an additional wire grounding it is needed to be fitted. We think that the fridge has never been run on 12V during the caravan's life and towing home with the 12V connected did this.
Has anyone come across this before? Does anyone know how to fix or any engineers who know?
Many thanks
Charlie
