We have lost all heating and hot water powerd by electric put works normally on gas
I removed the p c b for testing I had the call and the 2 kW heater relay was faulty so an new was purchased and I have fitted it to day Wednesday 11 May and after letting get hot this took about 45 minutes to get hot water to hot to put your hand in

As our caravan is getting on I thought I will change the anti freeze while it I am doing job on the van I have made up a pump system to allow easier refill of fluid and ease any air locks by slowly pumping the anti freeze around the heating system

I have a Heritage 640CB
Could you detail a bit more how you
1. drain the fluid
2. refill the system

If you look through this forum you will come across all the detail step by step that various members have posted covering how to replace the antifreeze.

I'm moving to Comma G40 because it's superior and G30 is increasingly hard to come by. Both are pink 5 year types and G40 can be mixed with G30 so that's what I'm topping up with.

If I could run to £130 for the 10 litres needed I'd use the waterless coolant by Evans which should last the life of the caravan. Maybe sometime though..

I have used the Evans (or equivalent) while I was resident in the USA in a highly modified car. It was a good product that lowered the operating temperature of the coolant allowing the engine to run with a larger circ pump to dissipate more heat through the rads at higher pressure, therefore giving a significant boost to the efficiency of the cooling system.
