Ordered, being delivered to my brother's in South Wales for when we arrive with the ralliers. Think I'll fit on site and see what difference it makes on the homeward trip. Price is the best I've seen.

Got the shocks, what a bargain, first impression when everything is still in the box is - - - 'It's Heavy'

Don't think I'll fit on this site, much too hot,and the site is on a slope so too difficult, but looking forwards to getting them on to see what difference they make.

Will report back when fitted and tested.

I didn't take the wheels off. (If I'd tried I would have found no locking wheelnut socket )

You may be ok if you run the van up the levellers and onto breeze blocks that are sideways down and the slope could help with the access. It was a cinch really. 20 mins/side.

Fitted the shockers and completed around 1000 miles towing since, and driven on most surfaces and in most conditions ( except snow of course )

My first impressions weren't that good from the point of view of making a big difference to the way the caravan behaved on the road. I really did struggle to observe any noticeable improvement. It’s true to say that I had also undertaken a number of changes to the tow car around the time I fitted the shockers.
As the towing miles pilled on we started to notice minor things such as
No deposits on the floor from the utensils draw
I much easier ride on concrete surfaces
A reduced effect from tramlining of the caravan on heavily trafficked roads
Improved stability, I think, when overtaking large vehicles
Better stability in cross winds

This adds up to a better ride over all making the outfit safer and more stable in adverse conditions.
Remembering that the caravan is a twin axle where you wouldn’t expect major improvements as has been reported on this site with single axle units.

So overall for me money well spent, especially at the cost of £100 for a twin axle.
