Wobbly roof?!

Postby Seanwj » Thu Jun 25, 2020 1:54 pm

Hi all!
Hope you’re doing well.
We have a 2008 Fleetwood Heritage 640i in very nice order.
Or so I thought.
Was fully professionally resealed last autumn.
Cleaning it today, I got the steps out to inspect the roof.
It looks uneven & you can push the metal up and down, it’s like a big wibble board.
Is this normal? I can’t remember.
There’s no sign of ingress internally.
Thanks in advance!
Sean.

Roof is 'loose laid' ,only fastened round the edges,so it will look worse in this hot weather due to the expansion.

Thanks, I’d thought so but glad it’s confirmed.
We were out when there were some 30/40mph gusts.
I genuinely thought the roof was going to tear off, the noise of it banging up & down was so loud.
Sleep was impossible. Seemingly for our neighbours as well, they moved the next day.
If possible I’ll park it into the wind next time.
Hadn’t happened prior to the reseal. Not sure if it’s related to that or just not had bad weather before.
Might have to strap it down!
